Our Commitment

Westdell Development Corp. is committed to making our website usable by the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. We are actively working to conform this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and equivalent accessibility legislation elsewhere.

What We’ve Done

• Semantic headings, landmarks, and a “skip to content” link on every page
• Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, and forms, with visible focus states
• Descriptive labels on form fields, buttons, and icon-only controls
• Meaningful alternative text on informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
• Text and background colour combinations checked against WCAG AA contrast minimums
• Responsive layout that supports browser zoom and text resizing without loss of content

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checklist. As we add new pages and features, we review them against the same standard, and we welcome being told where we fall short.
